The name of our album is : Jericco

How did the name come about? It's a self titled E.P, THIS IS JERICCO.

It was released last month and we held the Melbourne launch at the Espy Front Bar to a full house. The crowd response was overwhelming and the mosh pit resembled a vortex. We were very grateful.

We recorded it at The Old St Andrews studio in Cheltenham,Melbourne.

We recorded it with Warren Hammond at Penny Drop Studio.

Tell us a bit about the engineer / producer and why you chose to record with them? Warren is a good producer who gets the most out of you, but we found it was a long hard process. We mastered the E.P with the legendary Forrester Savell at the Base Studios in Melbourne.

Tell us about the writing / pre-production process, how long did it take and how did you go about it?
We spent 3 months demoing the songs and in pre-production. The writing process was an amazing journey for each of us, exploring our own personal stories and respective roots.

It took us 3 weeks to record it (laying the tracks was good fun but the editing and mixing was a very long and hard journey).

Gear wise, was there anything outside your usual live equipment used?
Anything that is on this recording was played live, including Roy's Oud (Egyptian lute). Roy recently got endorsed with an 'Ashdown' rig and the sound of it can cut through anything.

Any memorable moments during the process that stood out?
Fetah joining the band during the recording process and adding keys to the songs gave the music a whole new dimension, which was an awesome experience. In general, the recording process can be stressful but you learn from it and adjust your mind to keep working through it, like all pro musos.

Who took care of the artwork and why you chose to use them?
We did most of the artwork ourselves, although the idea of that incredible room came from James Carey, a close friend of the band. James is a well-respected artist and created the room himself as part of one of his amazing projects.

Now that it's out there, what can we expect from the final package?
Expect songs with passion and substance that manage to penetrate the soul. An encounter with ‘Jericco’ is designed to test the individual to the point of self reflection, by traversing a musical landscape that is both treacherous and serene at once. ("We come diseased now, we come with scars my friend. When I look into the mirror I see a different face staring back at me. The dawning of the day, the sun will rise above.")

Do you have a favourite track on the album?
We like them all and we hope you do the same, but we have to mentioned 'Sun' our single, is an awesome and very powerful track. When we play 'Sun' live, we like to think that our audiences find that it's an adventure.

How would you compare the album to your previous recordings?
This is our first recording so stay tuned. Be alert but not alarmed because there is so much to come.
