A DEATH IN THE FAMILY HIT SYDNEY
Posted by Bomber on Saturday, May 17 @ 17:00:00 CDT (0 reads)
Melbourne's A Death In The Family have succeeded
in breathing life and excitement into an often tired and generic punk rock sound creating songs that are brilliantly unpredictable, melodically powerful and always executed from the heart. Having recently released a split with Manifesto Jukebox (Poison City Records),
the quartet are currently writing the bands second album, for a
scheduled late 2008 release through Resist. Next week they hit NSW for a couple of shows teaming up with The Gifthorse from Brisbane. You can catch them Friday 23rd at Bald Faced Stag in Sydney
then Saturday 24th at Lucky Country Hotel in Newcastle.

The latest single “Pork and Beans” produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M.) has been embraced by the public world-wide, if you are yet to take a listen, you can hear it [Here]

R.I.P - GARRIE PATERSON
Posted by Bomber on Thursday, May 08 @ 20:47:17 CDT (160 reads)
Sad news this week from the close knit Adelaide community as news got around of the passing of Garrie Paterson, at the all too young age of 27.
Chances are that many of you would have seen or at least heard Garrie at the front of the band One Way Out, or more recently New Season Black. Both bands left their mark on the Adelaide scene over the last handful of years.
One Way Out released a self titled EP on 618 Recordings and then "Running Fast.. Headed Nowhere" on Resist in 2003 and shared the stage with plenty of touring pop-punk bands that hit Adelaide.
Garrie & other members of the band went on to form New Season Black in 2006 who also played a solid run of shows and most recently decided to call it a day, but not before playing a final show at Fowler's a couple of weeks back which also launched their EP 'Fate Of The Fallen'.
