Hometown is best known for : I have a billion answers for this.
Best venue in your hometown : Until I can answer this question, I will be forever angry. There is no "best" venue.

THE BAND
How long has the band been going?
Since 2005 when we were playing our guitars in tremolo after hearing Yellowcard doing it but we only started to take it more seriously in 2009 and we turned the tremolo off.
Many lineup changes along the way? Recently, yes, but I guess every band goes though the hard yards to grow.
How would you describe your sound to the average person on the street? The kind of music your 7 year old girl might listen to.
What's your most recent release? Tell us a little about it... Noise and Haste (Free Download: stonemason.bandcamp.com) It was what we were feeling at the time. It's very much so a pop record in sound and production but when you really dissect it, it's fairly dark.
Got a favourite track that you have released so far? I generally hear "I like the song Stockholm Fashion" so I'm going to be a sheep and say I like the song Stockholm Fashion.

OFF THE STAGE
What was your first introduction to music that made you think seriously about playing it?
I grew up with it. My parents bought me instruments instead of Furbies and Game Boys. I know, I never had a Super Soaker 3000, but it was all worth the nightly family jams of Eagles covers and Beethoven duets on the organ and then the years of performing musical theatre but in the end I eventually admitted to my love of real music that I have Queen and Dire Straits, and the rest of my Dad's CD collection to thank for. So seeing as it's been all I know, I'm stubbornly sticking with it.
What was your first band name, and what style did you play? Oh wow. Welcome to humiliate city. Well we went through our fair share but I think we went "MySpace Official" with the name 'Liabilty'. From memory, we played very simple pop rock. I was 13 and I listened to Avril Lavigne. Enough said.
Most prized music related item you own? Definitely my piano accordion. It's forest green and it makes my dog howl.
The thing you most look forward to just before a tour is... Knowing I have full access to watching the boys sleep. Stevo once asked in his sleep "Did you get the Australian flag from the concert?".
The thing you least look forward to before a tour is... People watching me sleep. I've been accorded the name Snore-by.
When your not doing band related stuff, what are you usually found doing? Sleeping of course.

ON THE STAGE / ROAD
Best rider item you've ever received without requesting it?
We're lucky to even get a reasonable back stage area. God, who do you think we are? ABBA? Rider…
Favourite place (city/town/country) you’ve toured… and why? New Zealand. Words cannot explain.
Most memorable show you've played? and why? They are all memorable in the sad case that something ALWAYS goes wrong. Like the time when we were younger playing at a battle of the bands, John did a guitar spin and his guitar went flying across the stage and knocked over my honey tea. I now know to not be such a diva with my tea on stage. I'm not Mariah Carey. Everything has its lesson, yes?
Worst 'guilty pleasure' artist / song you've come across on a bandmates iPod? I believe in Karma so I'm choosing not to answer this.

RIGHT NOW
Where are you?
Not where I want to be.
What's the last song you listened to? Patterns by Band of Skulls, formerly known as Fleeing New York. Some trivia for you crazy kids.
Which band or album is currently rockin' your world? Definitely Lydia. Rocks my world apart. Though I found out on my 18th birthday that they've recently decided to break up. It no longer felt like my birthday.
Tell us a band we should all go and listen to right now? StoneMason.

IF ONLY...
If you could pick any one album to cover from start to finish, what would it be and why?
Illuminate by Lydia. The transitions are lovely and I feel like the whole album follows one story.
If you could pick any one band / artist to cover one of your albums from start to finish, what would it be, and why? From what I've gathered, Timbaland does a great job at that by adding a few vocals grunts and burps. I'd love for him to remake our songs and earn more from royalties than we ever could. Let's make it happen, Timbaland.
If you could pick one band to re-unite so you could play a one-off show with, who would it be, and why? S Club 7 because I need to ask them a few questions. Does one of them really have a solid career in porn now? Is one really the pink power ranger in the recent Japan series? Too many unanswered questions.
One big tour, you can take two currently active bands to support you, who would you choose, and why? I'd love to wear glitter sparkles with Tahita Bulmer and Karen O so I'm going to take them on tour. New Young Pony Club and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
