It’s the opposite of the cold truth. When did the band begin and how did it come about? We started writing in late 2003 after the eventual demise of our old band The Killchoir Project. How would you describe your sound to the average Joe on the street? WIKID! What’s your current release? Tell us a little about it… Our current release is 'Ringing In The Sane' which was released in September last year. It’s our first full length record, we recorded it over a couple months with the illustrious Phil McKellar. What image do you think / hope your music conveys? A good party vibe and some tunes you can rock out to anywhere In five years time the band will be… That’s very hard to say but I’d like to think having bbq's and talking about the good old times. OFF THE STAGE What was your first introduction to music that made you think seriously about playing it? Seeing a friend’s older brother’s band jamming, i thought that they were the coolest people on the earth so i started begging my parents for a drum kit. What was your first band name and what style did you play? First band was called Step To Reason we played flat out punk rock, we were obsessed with NOFX. When your not doing band related stuff, what are you usually found doing? Working in a music shop and out and about partying in the city. ON THE STAGE / ROAD What gear do you use? SJC CUSTOM DRUMS, SABIAN CYMBALS, PROMARK STICKS Favourite place (city/town/country) you’ve toured… and why? I love Newcastle some of my favourite people on the earth come from there. The best show you’ve ever played was… and why? Our CD launch in Adelaide because all our closest friends and family were there on a really special day for us. Who hogs the stereo in the van the most? Whoever is in the passenger seat is in control, no exceptions After a week in the van/bus on tour which band member will have the messiest section, and what would we most likely find stashed there? The van stays pretty clean because we have an OCD neat freak in the band (leado) Who in your group has the worst “bad habit” on tour, and what is it? Probably me and my odours if you get my drift Most embarrassing moment on tour? Getting locked in the hotel hallway with nothing but socks on don't ask me how. Give us a good quick ‘on the road’ story, funny, embarrassing, memorable, whatever… When leado and pixie got caught in a provocative game of "one more item" ask us about it next time you see us. Your manager calls and says the venue you are about to play really wants to keep you happy, what’s the first thing you chuck on the rider?
