Murderdolls Sydney Sidewave cancelled

The upcoming Sidewave featuring Murderdolls, Monster Magnet and Dommin at Sydney’s Big Top (Luna Park) on Tuesday March 1st has been cancelled. “We have cancelled the Sydney headline appearance by Murderdolls scheduled for Tuesday 1 March at the Big Top, Luna Park. The Soundwave performance and travel schedule is quite intense if you are in 1 participating band. Joey Jordison is pulling a mighty double shift with 2 of the festival’s most dynamic bands. As such we are going to provide him with a much needed day off in order to ensure he is in top shape for the festivals and the massive Rob Zombie show in Melbourne.“ Tickets will be fully refunded from the point of purchase for the show.

White Lies announce Sydney and Melbourne dates

UK Indie-Rock trio White Lies return to Australia this April to celebrate the success of their second studio album ‘Ritual‘. The band will play two shows, one in Sydney at The Metro on April 7th and The Prince Bandroom in Melbourne on April 8th. ‘Ritual‘, a ten track affair was released in January, you can pick up a copy [Here]. City And Colour title new album ‘Little Hell’

The new City And Colour album, due for release via Dine Alone Records / Shock in June, will be titled ‘Little Hell‘. You can check the cover art on the band’s website [Here]. They will be touring Australia nationally this April, however as you’d know by now, all shows are already sold out. ‘Little Hell‘ was recorded earlier this month at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton with Alex Newport who is know for his cutting-edge work with At The Drive-In, Mars Volta and Death Cab For Cutie to name a few. The album track listing and official release date will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Soundwave Instores announced

Some Soundwave acts have announced instore signings whilst here in the country, so far New Found Glory has announced a signing at Kill The Music in Brisbane. That kicks off at 6:30pm this Friday. Kill The Music is located at Level 1, 161 – 163 Elizabeth St, Brisbane. More info on that one [Here]. Down in Melbourne at Fist2Face, Asking Alexandria will be signing next Wednesday March 2nd from 2pm and on Thursday March 3rd from 3pm There For Tomorrow will play an instore gig and do a signing.
