Hits and Pits Festival 2013 announced!
on October 16th, 2012The Hits and Pits Festival is set to take aim on Australia in March / April 2013. The event features a host of both international and local punk rock, ska-punk, folk, and acoustic acts strutting their stuff over two stages in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne and Fremantle. Mad Caddies will be heading up the event, fresh from the recording studio. The recently re-united Good Riddance will be on board, as will A Wilhelm Scream, armed with long overdue new material. Speaking of long overdue… Voodoo Glow Skulls make their return to Australia. The Flatliners are no strangers to our soil in recent years, they keep up that trend by taking a spot on the bill. Diesel Boy, a name some older heads will remember, haven’t been here in a very very long time, Diesel Dave will bring his acoustic guitar and catalogue of the band’s sing-a-long tracks. On the local front, another pop-punk front man playing his bands tunes acoustic, Scotte Woods of One Dollar Short fame is on board. Throw in Melbourne’s Jamie Hay who will have his new album behind him, Newcastle’s favourite whiskey drinkin’, sad song singin’ Jen Buxton, party starters Totally Unicorn and Adelaide good dudes Paper Arms round out the massive bill.
