Baltimore rock outfit Have Mercy have signed with Boston indie Topshelf Records and will soon begin recording their debut full-length with J. Robbins. Scheduled for release in early 2013, the band is currently on the road with The Jealous Sound. In a jointly released statement Have Mercy says, “We couldn’t be happier to be working with such a growing label and be label mates with some of our favorite bands. The Lack Long After by Pianos Become the Teeth is one of our favorite records they’ve released. The guys from Topshelf are incredibly smart music lovers and we look forward to recording music for them.” Have Mercy was established in the summer of 2011. Comprised of four young men that came from different parts of the local scene, the group was quick to begin writing for their debut release. The band self-released their EP “My Oldest Friend” in February this year. You can give that a listen on Spotify [Here].
