THE BAND
How did the band first come to exist? Brook and Manny went to high school together, brook didn’t know him but heard he played guitar, so Brook one day ran into manny in the hall and said “I heard you play guitar, want to start a band”.
How long has the band been going? 7 years now.
Any particular story behind the name? We loved the name “Doom” but there was already a band with that name, so we just kept thinking and came up with that.
What’s your most recent release? Tell us a little about it… Baptized In Filth, its our heaviest record to date.

OFF THE STAGE
What was your first introduction to music that made you think seriously about playing it? Listening to Symphony music with my dad in the car when I was 5 or 6.
Any particular band / album or song that you personally credit as a major influence? Metallica, they really tied me into playing metal music when I was younger.
Your first band name, and what style did you play? haha Nothing Illegal, it was a pop punk band I started in 7th grade.
Most prized music related item you own? My Mesa/Boogie 400+ amp, and my ESP Vintage 4 bass.
When you’re not doing band related stuff, what are you usually found doing? Hanging with my girlfriend and dog, going paintballing, just overall relaxing.

The thing you least look forward to before a tour is… Being away from my family and friends.

ON THE STAGE
When on offer, what’s your one must have item on the rider? Sriacha Sauce.
Favourite place you’ve toured… and why? Europe so far, just cause I’ve toured the U.S. so many times that going somewhere new was amazing. Im sure Australia will be my favorite once we get there.
Most memorable show you’ve played? and why? Thats too hard to answer haha.

Got a favourite song to play live? Murderer, and Deceiver.
Any embarrassing on stage moments come to mind? I’ve fallen a couple times, that was embarrassing for sure.
Any pre-show rituals? I like to put on my ipod, listen to a couple certain songs.
What do you find is the hardest aspect of touring in a band today? Being away from family, brook is married, btown is about to get married, brook has a little baby on the way, I imagine its very very difficult leaving that behind for a month.

RIGHT NOW
Last song you listened to? Suicide Note. 1 by Pantera
Last album you acquired? L’ Enfant Sauvage by Gojira.
Which band or album is currently on high rotation? Radiohead
Tell us an up and coming band or artist you think we should go and listen to right now? Sea of Skies, check em out!
What’s on the cards for the next few months for the band? Touring Australia, Touring the U.S. with For Today, begin writing some new material, go to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, etc…

IF ONLY…
You can pick any one album for your band to cover in full, what would it be and why? Pantera’s Far Beyond Driven. Its so heavy as it is, but I think we are simular in styles in a way and with lower tuned guitars it would sound sooooo heavy!
One band you wish you were able to see live but never had the chance? Pantera
One venue you have yet to play that you would love to? Fox Theatre
The chance comes up to fill in for a member of a band for one tour, which band would it be, and why? Bass for Lamb of God, I love that band and I know I could pull it off.
A headline tour overseas comes up, tell us two bands you’d take along to support your band. Volumes, and Oceano.

PLUG TIME
Got any final words? Come see us on tour starting this week.
