AxeWound to release ‘Vultures’ on October 5th
on September 5th, 2012AxeWound, the new metal outfit made up of Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats, Jason Bowld of Pitchshifter, Mike Kingswood from Glamour Of The Kill and ex Rise To Remain member Joe Copcutt will release their debut album ‘Vultures‘ locally on Friday October 5th via Sony Music Australia. The first single ‘Cold‘ will be released digitally on September 21st. The album was recorded in Cardiff at the start of this year with regular Bullet For My Valentine collaborator Martin Ford engineering the sessions. “It was very intense, very demanding but that’s how we wanted it to be,” reasons Tuck. “No pre-writing, no rehearsing… just booking a studio and going in and doing a song a day. We wanted to capture something that happened right there and then.” Liam chimes in saying “The record is great because it has been made by a bunch of friends who are just enjoying themselves playing together and doing something that is different to what they normally do.” Expand this post to check out the video clip for ‘Cold‘.
