The Mighty Mighty Bosstones cancel Sydney show
on June 22nd, 2012Due to the cancellation of the Java Rockin’land Festival in Jakarta, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have had to cancel their one-off Sydney show set for July 5th at The Metro. The band issued the following statement on their website. “Due to these circumstances in Indonesia which are beyond our control, we will regretfully have to cancel our show in Sydney as well. When we were asked to play the festival in Indonesia we thought it would be a great opportunity to check in on our friends in Australia on the way – despite the fact that playing only one show would not begin to cover our travel expenses. Unfortunately we don’t have time to book any additional shows in Australia with such short notice to make the trip work. We have no choice but to cancel. We offer a sincere apology to all our friends in Australia. We promise to return and hope to be able to reschedule some shows in the near future.“
