Tell us about the release title.
I guess we called this album “Notorious” because It’s Notoriously us. there’s another reason, but that’s for us.

Tell us about the artwork.
The artwork / front cover represents one shot of the lifestyle we are involved in, it’s like a perfect picture of not giving a fuck what people think or what you look like, it has our whole genre wrapped up into one photo, the alternative music, the image, the art, the carefree attitude that we are all about, the generation we have been brought up in.

What format/s will it be released on and how will it be packaged?
It will be released in the standard jewel case, Digi-packs online, Vinyl, and album digitally sold on itunes!.

Who will it be released through, and when?
Notorious will be Released through UNFD / Warner Music on Friday June 1st.

Tell us about the studio and why you chose to record there?
We chose to go back to Sweden and Record with Henrik & Fredrick at Studio Fredman because we have a tight working relationship with the boys and we just basically love their sound. There’s no other answer for this other than we think they are the best heavy producers in the world.

Tell us about the producer / engineer and why you chose to record with them?
Henrik Udd and Fredrick Nordstrom are the best Euro’s we know! Not only are they the most incredible engineers / producers they have built a good friendship with us over the years, two of the most outgoing humans i have met, we will continue to work with them for as long as we can.

Did you go into the writing process with a clear direction in mind?
No, not really… See the thing is, we are all growing as people and learning constantly like you are, we never had an idea of what this new album would sound like, the only direction for this album we had in mind was to be ourselves and write what makes us feel good! Not caring about what other people think during the process, we stayed true to ourselves.

Were you listening to anything in particular during the writing / recording process that influenced the songs at all?
It’s weird because we hardly ever listen to heavy bands or bands in our scene, we all have really different tastes in music going from Hip hop, Rap, Electro, Rock, Pop, Soul! anything but! The last CD i purchased from itunes was Frank Ocean haha.

Were there any albums you were referencing to aim for a certain type of sound production wise?
No albums in particular, just wanted a Clear, Heavy, Shiny sounding album!

How long did it take to record?
The record took us a total of 6 weeks to Track and Mix/Master

Tell us a little about the recording process the band used?
We had demoed the songs at my house so we just went in with the demos and laid down the guide / scratch guitars for Chris!, so then Chris recorded first obviously then guitars, bass and vocals.

Was this any different to previous processes you have used?
No it was the same way we had done it last time with them.

Any guests involved? if so, who.. and what did they do?
Yes we had a good friend of ours Ahren Stringer from The Amity Affliction jump on one of the songs “Can’t Let It Go’ which he did the choruses for us!! sounds sweet.

Any particular equipment outside your usual live gear used in the process?
We use the same gear pretty much live as we did on this recording. simple.

Any memorable studio moments?
The amount of vagina that came in and out of those studio doors was incredible / disgusting. but yeah we had our ups and downs throughout the process.

Any additional tracks recorded that didn’t make the cut but may see the light of day sometime?
We used all the demos we had written in Australia and had to write more over there.

What track/s are you most looking forward to playing live?
Personally i am keen to see how ‘LionHeart’ goes haha… MOSH

How would you compare the final product to previous releases?
Well the last two albums were shit, this one is sick. Three members that had wrote the previous records are now gone from our band so it’s hard for us to have any type of emotional connection with the songs to be honest, Notorious is us to the bone, so we all love it and play it with feel.

Anything else you want to say or tell us about the release?
If you want to hear the “real Buried In Verona” and what we are all about as people, then get this record! and hopefully you will love it as much as we do!
