Canberra’s Hoodlum Shouts will release their debut album ‘Young Man Old Man‘ via Poison City Records and HelloSquare Recordings on March 28th. Recorded by Matt Voigt (The Nation Blue, Midnight Oil, The Dirty Three), the band serve up big bold simplicity and lush melodies, while balancing the needle somewhere between melancholy and uplifting. This debut album follows up their 2009 ‘Horses and Human Hands‘ EP. Head to poisoncityrecords.com to hear the track ‘Gun, Germs, Steel‘ – recently released as a 7″ single ahead of the album. Pre-orders for a limited edition colour vinyl version will be available early February from the Poison City E-Store. Poison City will also handle distribution of the CD version to be released by Canberra label HelloSquare Recordings. You can catch Hoodlum Shouts playing The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on February 18th with La Dispute and Harmony. Tickets on sale now. For more info on the band, check out their page [Here].
