A Tribute To Billy Hughes at the Sando next month
on September 20th, 2011On Friday October 14th, The Sando in Newtown will host ‘A Tribute To Billy Hughes‘. In June, Billy crashed his motorcycle leaving behind a loving family and a hole in a lot of people’s hearts. All proceeds from the show will go to Billy’s wife and children. Best known for his work in Downtime, which was formed in 1994 after he left Toe To Toe. The band earned spots on Big Day Out, Vans Warped Tour and Alternative Nation, and countless supports to bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Fu Manchu, SNFU, Sex Pistols, ALL, Pennywise, Bad Religion and more. Playing on the night will be Grand Fatal, T.H.U.G, The Turps (with guest appearances from Blitz Babiez & Eric Grothe Jnr (ex-Downtime) and Arcane. It’s bound to be a big night, so mark it in.
