Streetlight Manifesto are on our soil this week, and kicking their tour off tonight in Melbourne at 170 Russell, before moving onto the Manning Bar in Sydney on Tuesday, The Gov in Adelaide on Wednesday and wrapping at The Triffid in Brisbane on Thursday night.

Tickets are available if you want to head along.

It’s been almost seven years since the band’s last jaunt, and this time they’re bringing best mate Dan Potthast along for the ride.

One part rock, one part ska, with influences from latin, klezmer, folk, world, funk, jazz and classical thrown in, Streetlight Manifesto redefined what most people expected from a ska band.

Formed fifteen years ago in New Jersey as an ad hoc group intended to put out one album and disappear, one thing lead to another and within a few months of their debut release, ‘Everything Goes Numb‘, Streetlight Manifesto were officially a full time touring band, spreading their infectious and energetic tunes to all who would listen.

Seven guys, seven different musical backgrounds, seven different personalities, one band, one unique and unmistakable voice.
