Spring King are back in a big way with their new single, ‘Animal‘ – out now via Dew Process / UMA.

The Manchester four-piece outfits new single is the first new music since 2016, and picks up right where their previous efforts left off.

Once again, it’s vocalist / drummer / producer Tarek Musa at the helm, steering the barely-controlled ship, and right alongside him is Pete Darlington and Andy Morton on guitar, and James Green on bass.

Of the track, Tarek says,

Animal takes its inspiration from our unshakable reliance on technology and how repetitive modern day existence has become. There is constant tension between human nature and technological progression: we are glued to technology, sometimes not sure how to let go, whilst simultaneously fighting the animalistic, hedonistic urge to unplug and completely lose ourselves.

It’s hard to believe that two years have passed since the release of their debut record, ‘Tell Me If You Like To‘. It was the album that launched their career into the stratosphere – initially striking a chord with an adoring audience around the globe – particularly here in Australia where the band eventually stormed our shores for a triumphant tour as part of Splendour In The Grass 2016 and a co-headline tour with Philadelphia punks Beach Slang that same year.

Now in 2018, Spring King have about 1,000 more shows under their belts and a brand-new, rollicking album ready to fire off later in 2018. But first thing’s first, ‘Animal’ has been uncaged and it’s your turn to sink your teeth into it.
