Following on from the band’s return mid last year, Perth’s Flowermouth are back with another new single and music video.

Gown‘ is the second taste of new music from the band’s refreshed line up, which sees the band taking bigger influence from early indie/pop roots, big synths, big melodies and a more traditional song structure to what the band is typically known for.

In the past, we’ve really challenged ourselves to write bold but simple music. This time around we were playing with the idea of having a song which was purely driven by big melodies, and something you could almost dance around to. We wanted to capture the indie/love song euphoric sounds of the ’80s experimenting with all sorts of variables in tones, melodies and rhythm.

Since the release of their ‘Serotonin‘ single in 2017, the band has since gone on to play with the likes of Turnover, Turnstile, Wavves and Endless Heights, cementing themselves back into the Perth live circuit.

To launch the release of ‘Gown‘, the band just knocked over a couple of Perth shows, and will next team up with Slowly Slowly and West Thebarton next month in Perth and Fremantle.
