News Bits & Pieces

CIRCA SURVIVE SHARE NEW TRACK, ALBUM OUT THIS MONTH
Circa Survive have shared their new song, ‘Premonition of the Hex‘ via a music video.

The track comes from band’s upcoming sixth full length, ‘The Amulet‘, due out September 22nd from Hopeless Records. You can pre-order now on iTunes [Here].

For the music video, director Josh Call took Green’s lyrics and helped develop them into a powerful cinematic visual.

Green commented on the process saying,

Josh, his team and I wanted to present something that was bold and visceral as a way to showcase the dangers of fundamentalism and extremism. Breaking away from a toxic and threatening situation can feel almost impossible when the insanity is dressed up as normal or socially acceptable. We are so thankful for Josh and his team for working so hard to capture this feeling.

MUSKETS ANNOUNCE DEBUT LP ‘CHEW’
Fresh off a stint with Tigers Jaw and Culture Abuse, Brighton-based four piece Muskets have announced the release of their debut LP, ‘Chew‘ on No Sleep Records.

Chew‘ borrows the gritty-ness of Fugazi and mixes it with the energy of early At The Drive In while maintaining a certain sensitivity that’s all its own. Titled after a phrase repeatedly said in Catcher In The Rye, ‘Chew‘ musically documents the highs and lows of a time where bassist Dan Smith and guitarist/vocalist Alex Cheung were living in a squat-like party house coming to terms with the reality of adulthood and pursuing a life in the music industry.

To create ‘Chew‘, Musket’s headed back to The Ranch and reunited with producer Neil Kennedy. There was just one problem – the band didn’t have any of their parts written. With inspiration from PixiesSurfa Rosa and Nirvana’s Bleach, Muskets crafted every single one of their parts on the spot.

Chew‘ is released on October 20th and is currently available for pre-order through No Sleep Records [Here]. You can stream the single ‘You’re So Cool‘ below.

SLEEPY LIMBS SHARE TASTE OF UPCOMING EP
Sleepy Limbs (ex-You, Me, and Everyone We Know) are gearing up for the September 22nd release of their self-titled EP, and have shared a taste with the track, ‘Float On‘.

This project was started as You, Me, and Everyone We Know came to an end. Around that same time, Kory and Joe were learning/relearning some of my old songs to play a full band show and we started working on new song ideas I had floating around. The more we worked on new material we started to notice a chemistry between us as a three piece and just kind of went with it and started playing shows and writing more songs, and Sleepy Limbs was born.

Watch a music video for the song below.

Pre-orders are available from the Know Hope Records Limited Run store [Here].

LIFE LESSONS RELEASE NEW EP
Oklahoma City’s Life Lessons have just released their new EP ‘Best When In Motion‘ via You Did This / Triple Crown Records.

Best When In Motion‘ was produced by Brett Romnes (I Am The Avalanche, Free Throw, SOMOS) at Barbershop Studios and is the follow up to the band’s previously self-released EP’s ‘I Know What I’m Not‘ and ‘What The Silence Meant.’

In support of ‘Best When In Motion‘, Life Lessons have joined Four Year Strong on their US Rise Or Die Trying 10 year anniversary tour along with Seaway, Life Pacific and Greyscale.
