With 16 albums under their belt and their 17th one on the way, Anvil pride themselves as being one of the most hard working bands on the planet. The 2009 rockumentary ‘Anvil – The Story of Anvil‘ detailed the story of band that somehow fell into obscurity. THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS SUMMER TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
It was 2002 when Australian roots rock trio The Beautiful Girls made their debut release ‘Morning Sun‘ – a melting pot of sunny surf sounds and refreshing reggae undertones – which established the band’s unique aesthetic. The title track quickly became a staple on triple j and, with the impetus of fan favourite ‘Periscopes‘, ‘Morning Sun‘ quickly climbed to Number 1 on the Australian Independent Album chart – staying there for months.

In 2003 The Beautiful Girls released the band’s first full length album, ‘Learn Yourself‘.

Numerous accolades and International tours later, The Beautiful Girls have chosen to pay homage to their roots by touring the songs from the ‘Morning Sun‘ EP and ‘Learn Yourself‘ album along with other selected crowd favourites from the extensive catalogue. Summer of 2017 / 2018 is the perfect time to celebrate the joint 15th anniversaries of these milestone releases.

TOEHIDER ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, SHARE VIDEO
Good‘ is the brand new full-length album from Melbourne’s Toehider. Led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Mills, in collaboration with graphic artist Andrew Saltmarsh, it’s the third album by the genre-hopping outfit and the eighteenth release overall in the past six years. Mills‘ incredible versatility has seen Toehider easily claim the mantle of Australia’s most prolific progressive rock outfit, having issued 12 EPs in 12 months to kickstart the group’s career.

Good‘ sees it’s release on Friday October 19th via Bird’s Robe Records.

The new album is heralded by lead track ‘This Conversation Is Over‘. The single is accompanied by a Peter Gabriel-inspired music video featuring the artwork of Andrew Saltmarsh and a rare music video appearance by Mills himself.

The video can be seen below. Album pre-orders are available through Bandcamp [Here].

UNIFY TICKETS SOLD OUT
If you were planning in hitting up the recently announced UNIFY 2018 but don’t yet have tickets, you’ve missed out on the main allocation and will have to try your luck with those who discover down the track they cannot make it.

In line with this sellout, Unify have announced an exclusive partnership with Twickets Australia. For those unaware with what Twickets is, it is a fan-to-fan ticket resale platform where the price of tickets is never more than the original face value. It was set up to counter the profiteering resale sites which encourage ticket scalping.

This will allow anyone that has purchased a ticket and can no longer attend to sell them on to other fans at no more than the price you originally paid. You can trade tickets securely through Twickets, with payment and delivery all agreed upfront. Sellers sell for free, and buyers pay a standard booking fee of 10% of the sold for ticket price. Users must have a PayPal account to sell, and buyers can purchase with all major debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal.

Organisers have asked that you do not pay exuberant prices for a re-sale. On Friday they will launch their Twickets site so everyone can re-sell tickets the right way. If you can no longer attend UNIFY 2018, it is advised you do not adhere to the notion of scalping, and use this official method as they may simply void the ticket if they see people sell them for expensive prices.
