Architects recently marked a triumphant end to their 2017 touring cycle with a performance on the main stage at Reading Festival.

You can check a video of them performing ‘A Match Made In Heaven‘ further below.

This week they have released new music in the form of ‘Doomsday‘.

The video clip for the single was directed by Stuart Birchall, and the song is a sign of what’s to come from the Brighton-based band as they prepare to get busy on their eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us‘ though the song won’t appear on a new album, it is the first new material from the band since Tom Searle’s untimely death from cancer in August 2016. Tom started writing ‘Doomsday‘ before he died with his brother and bandmate Dan finishing the lyrics.

Doomsday is not from an album we’ve recorded. It’s just 1 song. It’s just the start. Our way of showing everyone that there’s still a future.

They will resume touring in Europe and U.K. in January and February 2018. The tour, which was announced last week and already sold thousands of tickets, will include some of the biggest venues the band has played in mainland Europe to date, as well as their first arena show in UK – at the Alexandra Palace in London.

Architects will also exclusively appear at UNIFY 2018 in January. The festival is sold out.
