News Bits & Pieces

NECK DEEP RELEASE NEW VIDEO CLIP
Neck Deep have released the third track and music video for ‘Motion Sickness‘ from their upcoming album, ‘The Peace and The Panic‘, due out August 18th via Hopeless Records.

On the track, singer Ben Barlow shares, “Motion Sickness is the song that really bridges the vibe and lyrical message of Life’s Not Out To Get You to the new album. It’s the song on ‘The Peace & The Panic’ that shares the most in common with what we’ve done before, whilst still fitting with the rest of the new material. Like a lot of the new record, it carries a theme of duality; the verses are about confusion and struggle, but the choruses are about not giving up, not letting hard times get the best of you.

Pre-orders for the new album are available now [Here].

Check out the new track below.

CITIZEN ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, SHARE FIRST TASTE
Citizen have announced details their new album, ‘As You Please‘.

Two years removed from their previous LP, ‘Everybody Is Going To Heaven‘, Citizen’s perspective is far less sublime. ‘As You Please‘ is a confrontational record, incapable of turning a blind eye toward the inescapable strife. And so, songwriter Mat Kerekes pursues the source of discontent that is ravaging his Rust Belt city of Toledo, Ohio with the band’s most dynamic record to date.

On ‘As You Please‘ the epidemic is bigger than addiction and overdoses. There is no longer a dream to be pursued for the friends and family surrounding Citizen. The band explores that absence and the misguided ways in which it gets filled. On opener ‘Jet‘ which can be streamed below, the kids move slow and there’s a stranger living in the narrator’s home. ‘In The Middle Of It All‘ might be Citizen at their most hopeful, but it also reads as agonizing expression of the ruin in the heartland.

As You Please‘ also showcases the growing versatility of a band seven years deep and still restless.

Pre-orders are available now [Here].

THE BEAUTIFUL MONUMENT SHARE NEW VIDEO CLIP
Melbourne’s The Beautiful Monument have shared a new music video for their track ‘Sins‘, the final track to be lifted from their album ‘I’m The Sin‘ released back in February.

Since the release of the album, they have shared the stage with international acts such as I Prevail, Architects and Slaves. The band is currently gearing up to head out on a national tour with Tonight Alive later this year.

The video depicts Lizi (singer) falling back into the same pattern of torture through different times. You see the doctor giving Lizi life but later attacking her behind a mask/façade before his true identity is revealed as being the one who had previously stitched her together.

It was directed, filmed and edited by Kieran Ellis-Jones of Crystal Arrow Films and the track produced, mixed, mastered and engineered by Sonny Truelove @ STL Studios.

PKEW PKEW PKEW GET RE-ISSUED BY SIDEONEDUMMY
Toronto punk band Pkew Pkew Pkew have teamed up with SideOneDummy to re-issue their 2016 self-titled album under a new name: ‘+One‘, so titled for the extra track it includes. The new song ‘Cold Dead Hands‘ perfectly compliments the 22-minute flurry of unbridled guitar-punk glory that makes up the band’s debut.

+One‘ is available to purchase on Vinyl [Here]. You can also grab it digitally in all the usual places. Stream it on Spotify [Here].

SATYRICON ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM DETAILS
Nearly three years in the making, Satyricon have announced that ‘Deep Calleth Upon Deep‘, their ninth studio album, is set for release on 22nd September via Napalm Records.

Recorded in Oslo, Norway and Vancouver, Canada, during early 2017 and mixed together with Mike Fraser, this new album is not just a new collection of songs from one of extreme music’s most enduring and reliable bands: this is a wholesale reinvention and a brand new era in their history.

Frontman Satyr comments;

Approaching this release, what I always kept in mind is that either this is the beginning of something new or it’s gonna be my last record. If this is going to be the last, then it needs to be something special. If there are more records, then I’d better make sure that this is so different from the last one that it feels like a new beginning. I think it’s really, really dark, very spiritual and filled with confidence and energy.

Expect new music and pre-order details in the coming weeks.
