As Paradise Falls add tour supports, album out this week Bomber July 17, 2017 Brisbane’s As Paradise Falls will release their new album, ‘Digital Ritual‘ this Friday 21st July. The final taste before release comes with the track ‘The Ultimate Consumer‘. Vocalist Shaun Coar comments; “The song is about how people fall into destructive behaviour patterns. Particularly with the way we consume everything thru media in this day in age. A lot of people are borderline addicted to their phones and the amount of data we consume per year grows exponentially. It’s having a trickle down effect culturally and on a personal level. Literally everything needs to be at your fingertips otherwise it cannot survive. The problem is great things don’t just happen instantly.“ LISTEN The band has also announced supports for the album launch tour through August / September. You can see those just below. Earlier, they premiered a music video for the song ‘Dead Message‘. Guitarist Danny Kenneally commented at the time; “This song explores communication in the digital age, and how so many interactions between friends occur online. Digital communication lives in a strange duality of being so vital, while at other times being flippantly disregarded the minute it doesn’t meet our interests. Do we prefer isolation and are we bored with humanity, or are we just becoming lazy?“ WATCH Late 2015 saw the band travel to Thailand to lay down what would become their follow-up record to their EP ‘Save Yourself‘. What followed was heartbreaking to the say the least – towards the end of recording at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand – the band were invited to support I Killed the Prom Queen in Bangkok. Tragically, the night before the show, guitarist Glen Barrie suddenly passed away in his sleep, leading to a halt in progress to give each member time to grieve the loss of their brother. All of Glen’s work on the record remains as he played it.WATCHTOUR DATES AS PARADISE FALLS AUGUST 19th – Crowbar, Brisbane [18+] Down Royale, Zeolite, Caetera & Setmeonfire SEPTEMBER 1st – Enigma Bar, Adelaide [18+] w/ Valhalla, Beyond These Waters and Temple Of Athena 2nd – Bang!, Melbourne [18+] w/ Mirrors, Trash Boat and Between Me & You 9th – The Bald Faced Stag, Leichhardt [18+] w/ Oh/Villain, Isotopes, Setmeonfire and Above, Below —> Tickets available now. —> For more information, visit [Here].
