Wolves‘, the new album from Rise Against, is now available via EMI Music Australia. The album debuted at #5 in the ARIA Charts and they’ve slung us a handful of copies to give away to you readers this week.

HIGHTOWER SHARE SECOND TASTE OF NEW ALBUM
French based punk band Hightower have announced the release of a new album, ‘Club Dragon‘ for September through KROD Records, Far Channel Records and Joe Cool Records.

It follows on from their 2014 debut album ‘Sure. Fine. Whatever‘. This album was once again produced by Steve Evetts.

A new taste of the album, ‘Tournesol‘ is now online to stream. You can give it a listen below.

Last month they released a video for first single, ‘The Party‘ which you can check out [Here].

BEST EX TO RELEASE NEW EP NEXT MONTH
Previously known as Candy Hearts, New Jersey indie band Best Ex will release a new EP titled ‘Ice Cream Anti-Social‘ next month on Alcopop! Records.

A new track ‘Someday‘ is now streaming, give it a listen below. It follows the release of a lyric video for the opening track ‘Girlfriend‘ which is also below. Pre-orders are available on Bandcamp [Here].

BENCH PRESS RELEASE SINGLE, ANNOUNCE LAUNCH SHOW
Melbourne band Bench Press have released a new single, ‘Group Anxiety‘ on Poison City Records.

They will launch the track live at The Grace Darling in Collingwood on Thursday 29th June with guests Moody Beaches and Loobs.

You can also catch them as part of The Reverence Hotel’s 5th birthday party alongside The Bennies and Mere Women on July 23rd. Or, at The Tote as part of Poison City Weekender Fest on Saturday 16th September. Limited tickets remain for that one.

PRIMITIVE BLAST 7″ OUT JULY 14, PRE-ORDERS AVAILABLE
Sydney’s Primitive Blast are releasing their debut 7″ next month locally via Last Ride Records and in the US on Undertone Records.

The follow up to the band’s 2015 split with Controlled will feature two tracks that appeared on the band’s ‘Two Song Promo‘ tape, released in late 2016 for the band’s tour with Angel Du$t, and three brand new tracks.

They were recorded, mixed and mastered by Elliott Gallart at Chameleon Sound (Ill Natured, Controlled, Cursed Earth).

OCEANS ATE ALASKA SET ALBUM DATE, SHARE SECOND SINGLE
Birmingham, UK’s Oceans Ate Alaska have announced their second album, ‘Hikari‘ will be released on July 28th via Fearless Records / Caroline Australia. It is available for pre-order [Here].

Following a lyrical and musical theme rooted in Samurai mythology, the 11-track album blends traditional Japanese instruments with Oceans Ate Alaska’s flare.

We have a huge amount of respect for Japanese culture, especially their music. These unique and beautiful instruments have inspired us to create something brand new, and we are beyond proud of the end result!

They have also released the album’s second single, ‘Escapist‘. Watch the video clip for the single below.
