News Bits & Pieces

LINCOLN LE FEVRE COUCH SERIES HITS NEWCASTLE IN JUNE
Lincoln le Fevre will bring his ‘Couch Series‘ shows to Newcastle every Sunday in June.

Talking Crap & Playing Music” is how it goes down. Nice and simple.

Joining him on the couch on June 4th will be Pinch Hitter and Rachel Maria Cox. On June 11th it’ll be Amy Visser & Spencer Scott. Jen Buxton and Jamie Hay are on board on 18th June and finally June 25th is with Cookie Baker & a special guest.

It all happens at The Lass O’Gowrie on Railway St, Wickham.

Lincoln and his band The Insiders recently released a single, ‘Useless Shit‘.

HUNDREDTH – ‘YOUTH’
South Carolina’s Hundredth recently announced their new full length, ‘Rare‘, due out June 16th via Hopeless Records.

The band has now premiered the track ‘Youth‘, a driving blast of kinetic shoegaze that showcases Hundredth’s new direction.

Check it out below.

HORACE BONES – STRANGER DANGER’
Melbourne horror-psych punks Horace Bones have released their new single, ‘Stranger Danger‘.

Enlisting the production skills of unofficial 5th member, Daniel Caswell (Dune Rats, The Living End) the track spews forth shades of The Birthday Party and The Cramps.

In celebration of the single, the band will be hosting a launch party at The Tote on the 27th May before heading off to Europe in preparation for their 2nd EP, to be released this coming October.

ORSOME WELLES SHARE NEW VIDEO CLIP
Melbourne’s Orsome Welles will be releasing their new EP, ‘Rise‘ on May 26th.

The band have just unveiled another music video from the release, this time for the track, ‘Father’s Eyes‘.

The video takes you deep into the Australian bush, and leaves you to fend for yourself setting up the band as a troop of woodsmen under the oppression of a foolish ringleader, who ultimately turn on their boss with ritualistic torment, mirroring the creepiness found in Hollywood thrillers.

Frontman Michael Stowers comments:

‘Father’s Eyes’ is a powerful and punchy exploration of patriarchal loyalty and freedom. I always have an overwhelming feeling of hazardous abandonment whilst singing this song, kind of like watching a young bird take flight for the first time. I love the rapid undulations blended with authoritative flow that underpin the music.

The video clip was directed by Adrian Goleby, who has previously worked with Caligula’s Horse, Devin Townsend, The Ocean & many others.

SHORELINES RELEASE EP TITLED TRACK
Brisbane pop-punk four piece Shorelines will release their new EP ‘New Heights‘ on Friday 26th May.

A second taste of the release is now online in the form of a video clip for the title track. It follows the January release of the track ‘Let Us Go‘.

I wrote this song about my old band breaking up and having to start again with Shorelines. New Heights definitely shows off our positivity towards the new band, but also displays some anger towards people that brought us down in the past.
