News Bits & Pieces

TOE TO TOE SHARE ‘RISE UP’ VIDEO CLIP
As previously announced, Toe To Toe will release their new album, ‘Rise Up‘ on April 28th via Golden Robot Records.

They recently streamed the album’s title track, and have now released a video clip for the song which you can check out below.

The official album launch will be at Housefox Festival on Saturday 22nd April which happens at Narrabeen RSL. Also on the bill are Psycroptic, Black Rheno and a heap more.

Pre-orders for ‘Rise Up‘ on CD are available [Here] and iTunes [Here]

OCTOBER BIRD OF DEATH RELEASE DEBUT EP
October Bird of Death is full tilt Chicago punk rock. A sound grounded in old school punk but with modern twists and turns. The vocals are passionate and raw, grinding and soaring. Singing and shouting in equal turns with lyrics that reflect the blissful highs and crushing lows of lives lived on the margins.

Their debut EP ‘Death Made Its Offer‘ was released this week via Zap Records.

Give it a listen below.

BANDITOS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, SHARE SINGLE
For much of the last two years, the Banditos have been on the road, relentlessly showcasing their critically acclaimed 2015 self-titled debut album. In late 2016, the six bandmates hunkered down at Plum Creek Sound Studios and democratically poured out sonic influences and emotionally charged personal experiences for their new album ‘Visionland‘.

The album will be released on June 23rd via Bloodshot Records. You can pre-order [Here].

In celebration of the announcement, Banditos have launched the album’s first single ‘Fine Fine Day‘. Listen below.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME LIVE TRAILER
On April 28th, Between the Buried and Me will release their new DVD / Blu-ray, ‘Coma Ecliptic Live‘, via Metal Blade Records / Rocket.

The concert, which features the band performing their latest album, ‘Coma Ecliptic‘, in its entirety, was filmed live on location October 4th, 2016 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA.

Pre-orders are available [Here]. You can view a trailer below.

Bassist Dan Briggs comments:

The genesis of the ‘Coma Ecliptic’ filming was based around capturing the look and feel of the show our lighting director Chris Hill produced for the full album set. It’s such an important record for us and our progression as a band and the visual representation captures the moods of our tragic tale so well. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the last two years we’ve been living with this album day in and day out!

HYLA RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND JOIN GUN FEVER
Perth based shoegaze quartet Hyla is the latest act to join the Gun Fever artist booking roster.

To celebrate the occasion, they have released the first track to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, scheduled for release later in the year.

The single is called ‘Swam Out‘, and they will launch it live at The Bird in Northbridge on Friday 31st March with support from Ah Trees, Segue Safari & Peppermint Showers. Entry is $5 from 8pm.
